SDG Systems is now supporting LF and UHF RFID on the Bluebird Pidion BIP-6000 units running Android (AOSP). The BIP-6000 MaxID and BIP-6000MaxGrip models are available through SDG Systems and world-wide through our reseller network.

SDG Systems, LLC announced today the general availability of Android (AOSP) 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the Bluebird Pidion BIP-6000 and BM-170. The 2.3 software release contains enhancements over the base Android (AOSP) release, including support for Ethernet, 1D and 2D barcode scanning and RFID. The Pidion BIP-6000 and BM-170 devices are enterprise-class, rugged mobile computers.
DoD Deploys 3in1 Tool

The United States Department of Defense is deploying a new solution that utilizes the functionality of the Bluebird Pidion BIP-6000Max to its fullest. The current process of procurement - obtaining necessary products from local vendors in foreign countries - is an arduous task that requires a large amount of paperwork. With the development of the 3in1 Tool from Chiral Software, however, the DoD is streamlining this process to take paper forms out of the picture altogether.
